Measures to support accessibility

Build Capable takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of the Build Capable XCL website (https://buildxcl.com, https://buildcapable.com/xcl) and Build Capable XCL application (https://app.buildxcl.com)

Include accessibility as part of our mission statement.
Include accessibility throughout our internal policies.
Integrate accessibility into our procurement practices.
Provide continual accessibility training for our staff.
Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities.
Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods.
Include people with disabilities in our design personas.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

The Build Capable XCL website is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.

Although we strive for WCAG 2.1 level AA, some parts of the Build Capable XCL application may not fully conform to the accessibility standard. As of August 3rd 2025, there is a known issue with the submission of the sign-up form. If there are errors in the form, there is currently no accessible callout informing the user that errors exist or that the form was not submitted. We will update this statement once adjustments have been made to rectify this issue.

Technical specifications

Accessibility of Build Capable XCL relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used. Build Capable XCL works best on Google Chrome browser, but is also tested on Edge and Safari.
